Eastern Style Buffalo Powder Horn
This buffalo powder horn is inspired by an original from circa 1790. Overall length around the outside curve is 14" and the butt is 3" in diameter. The butt plug is made of eastern pine and has an iron staple for attaching the shoulder strap (not included but can be ordered for an additonal cost - contact me for price/details). The mouth of the horn is an added piece made from deer antler and is small enough diameter to make it easy to prime from the main horn. The mouth plug is also pine and has a rawhide wrap with a braintan thong to attach it to the horn. There is a small iron ring at the mouth end for attaching the shoulder strap. The horn is file and scraper finished and was then aged to give it a patina - a used but not abused look.
