| Our idea of a Cowboy Action Shooting®
rig but it also makes a great everday rig. It includes a Money Belt with eight semi-woven shotgun shell loops
and a double row of semi-woven (these can be had full woven or sewn) revolver cartridge loops. When worn
the shotgun loops are just to the rear of the right hip for those quick reloads. The belt can also be made
with the shotgun loops in the center and double rows (5-10 per row) of pistol cartridges either side. When
made like this, you turn the buckle to the back and your shotgun loops then come out center front (see Gun Belt
#3). This is
actually the best way, buckle in back, to wear any cartridge belt when riding horseback, especially with a high
cantle - the cartridges and loops don't get beat up and the cartridges don't get pushed out. This style is often
seen worn by lawmen, especially around the turn of the century (that's the year 1900) with rifle/revolver loop
combos or even shotgun/revolver/rifle combos and can be made in any practical combination. Belt widths run
3" with single rows of revolver cartridges up to 4"- 5" for double rows. See this rig also at Gun
Rig #9 |
