We make two basic styles of traditional Old West Holsters: Mexican Loop and Slim Jim
All of our holsters are designed to fit the Colt SAA, Colt Bisley, and their clones with 4 3/4" to 7 1/2" barrels, as well as the Ruger Vaquero and Ruger Bisley (with fixed sights). All models can be adapted, at no extra charge, to the adjustable sighted Ruger Blackhawk and Ruger Bisleyor just about any other Old West revolver such as the S&W Schofield. Most styles are also available for the various cap and ball revolvers such as the Colt 1851 Navy and 1860 Army and their conversions. We also make the the Texas Pouch and the Spring Clip style shoulder holsters.
Original style holsters were not designed for modern style "fast draw", but rather as an every day tool for packing and protecting your pistol. They were not originally and are not made by us "wet molded" - form fitted to a particular revolver. We use a non-corrosive, oak tanned leather that is especially made for holsters.
Our "standard" holster comes: unlined (as most of the originals were), border and rosette stamped with our aged finish in light, medium, or dark russet (reddish) brown. Options on all holster styles include, but are not limited to: color: natural oil finish to black, linings-buckskin or calf skin, hand carving in original styles of the period, hand stamping: basket and geometric, stock or custom nickel and silver conchos, buckles in nickel, brass, or silver, as wells as spots: nickel, brass, or silver with all hardware aged to match the leathers vintage patina.
